Causes And Solutions

An alarm occurs during motor acceleration.

1. Parameters are set inappropriately

If the acceleration/deceleration time parameter is set too short, the Motor may not be able to keep up with the commanded speed. The solution is to increase the acceleration/deceleration time appropriately. Specifically, adjust parameter 4082 (Time Setting in Acceleration/Deceleration) so that the set value is a little more generous than the actual equipment acceleration/deceleration time.

2. Incorrect speed detector parameters

Incorrect parameter settings of the speed detector can cause abnormal feedback. This is the time to check the parameters of the speed detector to make sure it matches the specifications of the Motor and equipment.

Alarm When Heavy Cutting

1. Cutting load is too large

If the cutting load exceeds the maximum output of the Motor, the Motor may not reach the commanded speed. At this time, look at the load table to confirm whether the cutting task is too heavy. If so, adjust the machining conditions to reduce the load.

2. Output limit parameter is set incorrectly

Improper setting of the output limit parameter will limit the Motor output, resulting in failure to meet the commanded speed. Make sure that parameter 4028 (Output Limit Mode Setting) is set to 0 and parameter 4029 (Output Limit Value) is set to 100, and make sure that they are consistent with the machine and Motor specifications.

3. Motor intrinsic parameters are incorrect.

Motor intrinsic parameters are incorrectly set, which affects speed control. Refer to the FANUC AC SPINDLE MOTOR αi series Parameter Manual (B-65280CM) to confirm that the Motor intrinsic parameters are correct.

Preventive Measures

1. Parameter settings should be reasonable

According to the equipment performance and processing requirements, set the acceleration/deceleration time parameters and output limit parameters reasonably, so that the Motor can run more smoothly.
